Stock trading activity generates enormous amount of valuable data. The distributors of BSE disseminate the data through terminals. These terminals (end user) are known as Key Stations.
Level 1 Data Feed package provides the following information
In addition to the data provided in Level 1 Data Feed package, the following data is available in Level 2 Data Feed package If you subscribe to Level 2 Data Feed, you will get all the data from the Level 1 Data Feed in addition to the data exclusively available to Level 2 Data Feed subscribers. Yes. BSE provides the facility of upgradation for its Level 1 subscribers. You only need to pay the additional charges for upgrading to Level 2

As such, BSE is the very first receiver of all such corporate information.
Corporate Announcements: Various announcements made by the company, many of which are price sensitive in nature, including information about a project, dates of Board meetings, corporate actions and issues, dividend payments, amendments to Articles, general meetings etc.

The data provided on real-time basis. A subscriber for 1-minute snapshot gets data of market activity at an interval of every one minute. This data contains the information about the changes that have taken place within the last one minute. In other words, the 1-minute is a picture of the stock market taken every minute. This Data Feed is provided through the Internet. The market data provided is similar to the 1-minute snapshot. However, the same is made available after a delay of 5 minutes. The End-of-Day-Quotations file provides the data at the end of each trading day, which includes the summary of the transactions of the trades conducted during the day. The data is provided in a single file. TOP Delivery
BSE has two modes of delivering data at the customer location:
MLDN Set-up: MLDN Set-up is a dedicated leased line connection between BSE and the customer for receiving the live data.
BSE provides the customer with a login ID and password for accessing the server. The information is provided in the .csv format. TOP Customers
A person or organization that has been authorized to resell the data provided by BSE, to end subscribers or redistributors is designated as a Data Distributor.
A person or organization authorized to provide data to end subscribers in the form of a product or as a service is designated as a Data Redistributor. A Data Redistributor can enter into a direct contract with BSE but will be supplied data through a Data Distributor. A Data Redistributor who has entered into an agreement with BSE for Real Time data but takes a feed from a Data Distributor is required to pay 80% of the base charge that is applicable to the Data Distributors. All BSE data products can be subscribed by Websites/Web Portals. In Stocks, only Level-1 data will be provided. Real Time, 1 min snap shot & 5 min delayed data will be provided to Paid Subscriber websites and 10 min delayed data will be provided to Websites/Web Portals which display data free. - Paid subscriber website: The website which charge to their end user for access to BSE data. The Paid Subscriber websites have to share the per subscriber charges to BSE in addition of annual fixed charges. - Free Display website: The website which display BSE data on free basis (publicly) to end user. No BSE data is provided free of charges. In case of a Data Feed distributor/ re-distributor, 15 minutes delayed data can be displayed only on their website.
TV channels are provided Level 1 feed only.
In case one channel from a group of TV channels subscribes to the Data Feed, other channels within the group are eligible for discounted rates. Stocks, Indices, Corporate data as well as End-of-Day-Quotations are made available by BSE to the print media for publication in their newspapers/magazines. Mobile Operators can access live data from BSE for dissemination to their subscribers, under a revenue sharing arrangement.
Mobile Operators can provide SMS-based services as well as Value Added Services to their subscribers using the Data Feed provided by BSE: Index creators can avail the Data Feed from BSE for the purpose of computation and publication of Indices. Financial institutions like mutual funds and portfolio managers can subscribe to the Data Feed for creation of products like index funds and exchange-traded funds. For this purpose, Level 2 Data Feed is ideal. Professionals can subscribe to the Data Feed from any of the authorized Data Distributors or Data Redistributors. Both Level 1 and Level 2 data are available to such subscribers. A company can avail Data Feed of its scrip. The annual subscription fee is Rs.50, 000 (upto 10 scrips and all indices) on which 20% discount is offered if the feed is taken through a Distributor. You can get historical data as per your requirement. The fee will be dependent on the type and period of data. It is not necessary to directly acquire the Data Feed from BSE. You can get the feed from any of our authorized Data Distributor or Data Redistributors. In case you are a Redistributor accessing the Real Time feed through a Data Distributor, 20% discount on the base prices will be applicable. TOP Billing Information
Fixed minimum charges are payable in advance in March and September as indicated in the schedule of prices. No. As per the new Data Feed pricing policy, the administration charges have been waived with effect from 1 April 2006. Customers only need to pay the basic Data Feed subscription fee. TOP
